The second part of character creation for our playtest of Shape of the Elements; this time we do some collaborative world creation and discuss the cultures that each player comes from. If you'd like to playtest Shape of the Elements (and send me your notes and impressions about it!) you can DM me over on Twitter, @lesbiathan.
I'm working on another game! This is the character creation for that game, known as Shape of the Elements. Its a mix of wuxia and Avatar: The Last Airbender, Powered by the Apocalypse. The game isn't released yet, but if you want to playtest it (and send me your notes!) send me a DM over on Twitter, @lesbiathan.
Its RuneQuest time! We're going to play the latest edition of RuneQuest by Chaosium, which is, honestly, full of really weird rules and overly complex mechanics; if you find yourself interested in it (or just really like Glorantha, the epic setting of RuneQuest), then we strongly suggest you check out the really, really, really good character sheet over at Roll20, which does all the fiddly math and tracks lots of the odd mechanics for you.
Anyways, this is character creation for our RuneQuest campaign, set during the opening days of the Hero Wars, before the sacking of the Lunar Temple in Sartar. If none of that makes sense to you, the party is a talking duck, a werewolf, a secret Lunar priest, and a very angry man who wants to eat a flying bull; it promises to be a very wild ride.
Well, we're back to playing Unknown Armies! This time, the players are in Alaska looking at cryptids and cryptocurrency; also someone fucked Big Foot? Probably one of the more insane cabals to ever grace the tabletop and this podcast, to be honest. Find out what brings together a washed up rocker, a personal assistant with anger issues, a crypto grifter, a doctor obsessed with snakes, and a weirdo loner with gun magick in this character creation session.
Remember: its pronounce mah-GICK not magic!
Pirates! We all love them and want to be them, just as much as we all love and want to be in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure; to that end, we're combining both these things in our latest campaign! We make some characters, we talk about what want to do, and also a player blows us all away with his native tongue.
Now with fixed audio and also some other goodies! Sorry for the inconvenience!
Character creation for our next campaign; JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Bodies in Motion. We're playing Tendencies, by Dusty De Leon, which is rad as fuck and, if you like anime, something you should buy! The campaign will be starting in a month or so and will be posted alternating Wednesdays, but we did character creation a bit early so we could get a feel for each other's characters. Lots of JoJo's talk, discussion of mechanics, and musical references! Hope you're as excited as we are!
Intro: Naked Silver, written by Kiyomi Kumano and sung by Jin Hashimoto.
Outro: Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Yet more character creation for another Spire campaign! Besides making a whole other set of drow revolutionaries, it is also revealed that the two campaigns are going to be connected. Why yes, I do make bad choices and love to make more work for myself.
Its time to make some characters for our next campaign! We're playing Spire, a game about being drow in a city ruled by high elves; all the players are members of the Ministry, an organization set on freeing the Spire from the tyranny of the high elves and replacing it with a drow centered government. We create a cell of revolutionaries who are surprisingly competent at their jobs, which is a change for the group. Let's see how long it lasts.
