The investigators continue to search for the missing Flaming Pearl, as well as determine what James' larger plan was and who else was involved in it; it takes them to a shell company run by a Summer Court and to the streets, searching for answers and new questions.

The investigators have some down time following their run in with James and his demon. Greg throws a work colleague under a bus, while Henrietta gets it, girl. Meanwhile Tal does some actual work on the investigation, and Alex runs her store normally and very well. Just because the lead suspect in the mystery is dead doesn't mean anything is solved!

The investigators continue their interviews, trying to figure out what Brandon's last day was like and trying to get a grip on Amy's personality. They meet a very nice Scottish man, a very mad demon, and a professor. Also the Bad Cops show up, who are very bad and very not cops; Greg gets very sad.

In this episode, the investigators get straight to work: interviewing several people known by Amy. The goal is simple: establish a motive for the murder or to find evidence that'll allow them to clear Amy's name. Instead, they find themselves caught up in a web of lies, unsure of who to trust; why did Brandon have to die? What does the flaming pearl have to do with anything? Why is Amy still living? There's too many questions, and not enough answers.
