The investigators have traveled back in time to stop the assassination of Ottmar at the hands of a cowardly Romanian fascist, but how does one stop a man possessed by an archangel? The answer involves a magical gun powered by hate and a finely crafted sword; the gang readies up and gets ready to deny God.
In this riveting episode of City of Glass, Alex is still somehow drunk and antagonistic to literally everyone all the time, while Henrietta manages to add more Tobies to her gang. Greg proves to not be half the cop he should be, and Tal shows everyone he has major ups. Get ready for some Freaky Friday shit!
The investigators continue to search for the missing Flaming Pearl, as well as determine what James' larger plan was and who else was involved in it; it takes them to a shell company run by a Summer Court and to the streets, searching for answers and new questions.
The investigators have some down time following their run in with James and his demon. Greg throws a work colleague under a bus, while Henrietta gets it, girl. Meanwhile Tal does some actual work on the investigation, and Alex runs her store normally and very well. Just because the lead suspect in the mystery is dead doesn't mean anything is solved!
The tension is mounting for the investigators, as they rush to the hospital to check on the well being of Amy and Ellen. The swans come home to roost in this exciting episode of City of Glass, as the mystery of who killed Brandon is finally solved; but what should be simple answers lead to a much greater mystery.
The investigators continue their interviews, trying to figure out what Brandon's last day was like and trying to get a grip on Amy's personality. They meet a very nice Scottish man, a very mad demon, and a professor. Also the Bad Cops show up, who are very bad and very not cops; Greg gets very sad.
In this episode, the investigators get straight to work: interviewing several people known by Amy. The goal is simple: establish a motive for the murder or to find evidence that'll allow them to clear Amy's name. Instead, they find themselves caught up in a web of lies, unsure of who to trust; why did Brandon have to die? What does the flaming pearl have to do with anything? Why is Amy still living? There's too many questions, and not enough answers.
What do a mystical pearl, a dead man, and a poisoned woman have to do with each other? That's the crux of the problem that a team of magical investigators are confronted with, when such a thing occurs in the lead up to an important wizard conference. With the fate of Vancouver's magical underground hanging in the balance, this intrepid team will have to connect the dots in a case that, at first blush, doesn't appear to make much sense. There's just one thing you have to ask yourself: do you know what anime is?
Change is coming to Vancouver's magical underground, and it starts here! This is character creation for Pen & Paper Bullshit's next campaign, run by long time player Viscardus! With Dijon Du Jour as Henrietta Woodsley, Frank West as Tal Aria, Julia as Alex McCoy, and introducing Brutus Salad as Greg Dowell! This episode is extra long, with extra jokes, and extra character creation. You've been warned!
